Enter Libbie’s Place through the covered driveway into the lobby area. Our combination dining/activity room is where most activities are conducted each day. Friends greet each other here each morning and share a cup of coffee and read the newspaper. A morning prayer is offered along with the pledge of allegiance and discussion about current issues. Music and chair exercises are offered daily along with group discussion.
Four wheelchair accessible bathrooms enable our staff to assist those who need extra help. Our full-time Program Nurse provides assistance with medications and medical attention as needed. Our Program Director coordinates all of our therapeutic, and fun, activities with the help of our trained Care Associates. We also have Registered Nurse Consultants to provide extra care, a Registered Dietitian who visits monthly, a full-time Office Manager/Volunteer Coordinator, and our Executive Director, who is a licensed Social Worker.
With the help of these trained professionals, our participants have the daily opportunity to celebrate life with friends in a caring and safe place.
Health discussions are led by our Program Nurse before a delicious hot lunch.
After lunch, participants have the opportunity to use the indoor walking track at Moody Methodist Church, feed the birds from the covered back porch, or play a game of dominos with friends.
